It seemed I had a choice of a million images for this one but I decided to do a boy card.

Happy Birthday to Me.

It's my Birthday but we're off to someone elses party.
Hubby's Brother is 50 tomorrow and is having a party today.
Going to be a bit weird.

My Hubby asked for a couple of cards. This first one was for his best mate.

This pair of pests always greet each other with endearments such as hello sexy, sweetheart etc
hence the Sentiment on this one

Cupcake Crafts Challenge

Well it's Monday again and that means a new challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenges and this week it's The Ocean.
That leaves a lot of scope for you - beaches, boats, fishes, surfing etc

I decided to go with this little lady

This is Goldie a digi from Wee Stamps. isn't she adorable. I've coloured her with Promarkers and
Glossy Accented her bubbles.

The fishes and weeds are from a Sizzix originals die that I've had for eons and I stole the shells from the kids. The sentiment was from a magazine freebie.

The paper is Echo park. It's the sandy colour on one side and the watery colour on the other.  I used  the Spellbinder Edgeabilites Classic Scallop Die to cut the 'sea bottom' then the off cuts flipped did for the waves. The edges are inked with Distress Inks.

Bestest Sister

Here is the card I made for Sam to give his sister. Sometimes he wants to make his own but this time I got the job. He picked the image I was to use tho.

A Sugar Nellie - Simply Sassy stamp called Romantic Dreamer coloured with Promarkers.

Tuesday Thought

This was one of the best lessons I have learned

Every time we dwell on past hurts we let them cause us fresh pain.

By letting go we aren't forgiving or forgetting but moving forward.

Every sad, painful memory we hang onto holds us in the past where there is no future.

Cupcake Crafts Challenge

Hello Peeps.
Today at Cupcake Craft Challenges the New Challenge is Tour de France.
 Lots of inspiration to be had from that - bikes, anything french, the colours of the flag, Paris the sky is the limit

I went with a bike and French colours

This little lady is a Wee Stamps digi called Rosies Bike Ride coloured with Promarkers. (I think she can be found in rubber too from Whimsy Stamps.)

Phew!

What a couple of weeks!

A week at Southerness with visits to Mabie farm park, The David Coulthard Museum, The Cocoa Bean Factory, Cream of Galloway Ice cream, Dumfries, the Beach, swimming and more swimming.

Then a week at home with visits to the Grannies, play dates, an afternoon in A&E, making birthday cards, Amazonia, M&D's theme park, more swimming and then Emma's Birthday on Friday with shopping and a meal out, the cake etc 

To top it all off, drinks with friends on Saturday night.

I'm glad P goes back to work tomorrow and things will get calmer and I might even get some more time to craft.

Pop back tomorrow for the latest Cupcake Crafts Challenge and thru the week to see Emma's cards.

Best laid plans

I had planned to finish a DT card and make my Daughters Birthday card today. Needless to say it didn't happen.Emma was sitting on a ledge and when she jumped off her footing slipped and we spent the afternoon in A & E instead. Luckily her wrist isn't broken but she's may be sore for a while.

I need to get these cards done. DT card is to be in for Thursday and Emma's Birthday is Friday so Pete has been ordered to remove himself and his cherubs from the premises tomorrow.

Over on Cupcake Craft Challenges there is a new Challenge called Number Cruncher in honour of the 200th challenge.

I've used Saturated Canary - Blanche. Coloured with Promarkers.

As she's a glamourous lady I thought I'd try my hand at a collage style card. This is completely out of my comfort zone but I'm very pleased with the results.

Just back from a week in a caravan at Southerness. I'll post more about that later.

Cupcake Crafts Challenge

There is a new challenge up over on Cupcake Craft Challenge this morning.

Welcome to anyone who has popped over from there.
I'm Sandra, married stay at home Mum of 2 with a serious paper habit.
I'm very proud to have been asked to be a Guest Design Team member and hope you like my cards.

My take on todays challenge - Bright as a Button.

I've used Ava - a freebie Saturated Canary digi image. She's coloured with Promarkers. ( I need to work on balloons tho!)

I thought she was just perfect with the buttons on her shoes. It's a clean and simple card but all the colours make it look a bit more.

Paper is Echo Park, Sentiment is Lili of the Valley, Ribbon and Buttons are from my stash.
