Big Birthday

Hi Peeps

Thought I'd get the finger out and start posting some of my non DT cards.

The first I was asked to make by a friend for a lady who likes cooking. 

Well that stumped me, Cats, Reading, Horses, Music I could do but I didn't have any idea for that. 

An internet blitz ensued and after several options were dismissed I came across this and fell in love.

Mo Manning - Tall Cake

I thought she was perfect and could be used for so many different things.

I added the sentiment on the computer and coloured her with Promarkers.

The ribbon and flowers are from my stash and I die cut the numbers using Sizzix Fruit Smoothie.

 Here is the inside.

At the same time as I was doing this I had a 50th coming up so decided to use her for that too.

I forgot to photograph the finished card but here is a work in progress shot.

It had a big 50 in the white space and some pearls.

Sweet Stampin' - Fathers Day

Hi Peeps 

It's time to play again over at Sweet Stampin'

I came across the image I've used and it reminded me so much of my Dad I had to get it.

Funnily enough I had just finished this card when my Dad called to say he was coming for a visit.

This was a lovely surprise as he lives in York which isn't exactly pop over distance from Glasgow.

Unfortunately he was up for a funeral but I'm not complaining. Don't get to see nearly enough of him and the kids loved seeing him.

Creative Craft Challenge - For the Fellas

Morning Peeps.

We've had a holiday weekend here in the UK and the kids aren't back at school till tomorrow.

Actually saw some sunshine as well as the usual rain.

I've had one of those fortnights where for no real reason I just haven't managed to get much crafting or even time on the laptop. I really need to get the finger out as I have loads coming up.

I tried all sorts of embellishments on it but decided I liked it best as it is.

Long time coming

Here is a card which has been in the making for a long time.
The image was coloured last summer then ended up being "filed" along with a few others.
I got it out again in the Autumn and cut the mats and paper but then it got filed again while we decorated.
So finally this week it got put together.

The image is a Mo Manning - Video Girl. There are a couple of male versions available too.
She is coloured with Promarkers. She's very cool.

Skaterboy

Well yesterday was Sam's Birthday and what a spoiled boy he is.
After lots of pressies we took him to play Adventure Golf  in Xscape followed by a go on the 3DX cinema thing which terrified him at first but by the end he was loving it. Then dinner a China Buffet King - his choice, I hate the place!! We followed that up with a visit to the Amusements.
I was exhausted by the time we got home!
