Pretty as a picture

This is the card I made for our family friends Ruby Wedding celebration.
They had a lovely party yesterday which was nice to see everyone in happier circumstances, the last time was my Uncle's funeral.

 

I used their Wedding picture.

 

Made it a trifold card with lots of Ruby red.

Black and White

This week on Cupcake Crafts Challenges they want Black and White creations.

 I wasn't going to bother with this one but last night I got inspired and coloured this little lady putting her together this morning.

 

She's a Kenny K digi called Bodacious Bev.

Apart from her skin I only used 3 Promarkers to colour her, I'm rather chuffed with that.

Black, Ice grey 5 and 3.

 

Paper is Bo Bunny, Sentiment is SU and ribbon was a hanging strap cut off a dress!

Anyway I'm back with a Ruby Wedding Card I made for my Mum to give a family friend.

I did cheat a bit with this one and used a Lili of the Valley Cute Square.
The paper, roses and charm all came out of my stash. Sentiment is computer generated.

New stuff

I forgot to mention but I won the comments prize over on Make it Monday this week...Woo Hoo!! 

I got a lovely gift certificate for Bugaboo stamps. The best thing was Bugaboo had everything half price so instead of up to 7 digis I got 13 digis. Result!!!
I'd already treated myself to some Dilly Beans, a Tiddly Ink and some Heather Ellis sweeties this month so I'm well stocked with new images.

I'm off to do some colouring now

This week Cupcake Craft Challenges is 4 years old. They have a photo for inspiration this week

Here is what I came up with

Happy Birthday Cupcake!
This is a Heather Ellis digi. Pure Innocence #030.  Isn't she adorable?
I discovered these thru Jane one of the Cupcake DT. She uses them a lot.

She's coloured with Promarkers. Paper is Bo Bunny, sentiment from a magazine freebie and card is cut using a Nestie.
It's not very big - think I need a Grand Caliber so I can do bigger.

I like this card so much I think I'm going to do one for each of the 4 Pure Innocence digis that I have. (So far)

Back to school

Well the summer is over and the cherubs are back at school.

It was lovely to have coffee with the Girls then an excursion to a newly discovered Bag Shop. Lots of lovely bags. Big and small, classy and flashy, you name it they had it and the prices were fab. This may become a regular haunt!

This afternoon I knocked together a card for this weeks Cupcake Challenge which isn't on here cos the camera was dead as a doornail :-(

Come 3 o'clock I got 2 rather tired kidlets back and we treated them to Dominos for dinner.

Tomorrow the plan is to do some of the dreaded Housework and post the card on here

New Arrival

Been a bit busy the last few days and we have a new member of the family.

Mookie is a Leopard Gecko.
My 10 year old has wanted one 'like' forever.
We finally said she could have one when she turned 10.
She researched all about them and saved up to get the equipment she needed.
She sold some of my cards to her Aunties and Uncles to raise the last of her funds.

I'm very proud of her working to get what she wants.
Not the best photo but he is still a bit shy.

Fake it Till You Make It

That's it.
When your confidence is low just think of someone who's confidence you admire (sister, friend, celeb) and do it like they would.
 If you appear more confident people treat you that way. That makes you feel more confident and before you know it you won't be faking it any more.
