Creative Craft Challenge - For the Fellas

Morning Peeps.
We've had a holiday weekend here in the UK and the kids aren't back at school till tomorrow.
Actually saw some sunshine as well as the usual rain.

I've had one of those fortnights where for no real reason I just haven't managed to get much crafting or even time on the laptop. I really need to get the finger out as I have loads coming up.

On to business tho'
This fortnight over at Creative Craft Challenges we are looking for Cards for Fellas.
Birthday cards for men, Fathers day cards, as long as it's for a man it's in.
We are sponsored by Crafty Ribbons.

This is Mo Manning's Game On coloured with Promarkers.
How many of you have one of these - son, husband, father glued to a game?

The paper is

I'd like to share him at

Good Luck

We've had a lurgy in the house over the last week (nothing crubs the craft time like a sick child) but I have a few things done and nearly done.

Off out for a Birthday breakfast with my friend who is having a birthday of a number we are not allowed to mention, so I put it on her card! pop back later to see.

Creative Craft Challenges - Check it Out

It's time for a new challenge over at Creative Craft Challenges.
This fortnight we want you to Check it Out.

You can win a prize from Crafty Individuals.

I have been playing about with some different techniques, which you'll probably see over the next few weeks and here is what I came up with.

I used a mask and white ink to do the checked background then splattered white paint over it.
I'll admit it was a lot of fun.

I stamped a Ferrari from the DoCrafts set.
Coloured with Promarkers and inked around edges with Fired Brick distress ink.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

I'm not completely happy with the card, thinking I should have cut the car out.
Hindsight, a wonderful thing!

I'd like to share it at

A late Thank you

I know I said I'd be back yesterday with this card
but I managed to spill a glass all over my plugs for phone and laptop chargers.
You can imagine the panic, so I erred on the side of caution and left them to make sure they were fully dry before using them again.

This card I made for a family friend who has helped us out with a loan of a car while our car was off road and has let us keep hold of it after our car was declared dead as a dodo.Sob!
We have it to use while we look for a new one and are very grateful.

It's a CAS card which incidentally is this weeks theme over at Sweet Stampin'.
Go see what Team Abi have created for you.

I took a square of iridescent white card and stamped a DoCraft Car stamp in one corner and a SU sentiment on the top then joined them with a doodled line then matted it onto black card.

Sweet Dreams

Morning Peeps.
Hope you have a good Holiday weekend, if you are here in the UK.

Here's one I knocked up earlier

The image is Bugaboo - Jesse Moon
Coloured with Promarkers and blinged up with some Stickles and Liquid Pearls.

Paper has been lurking in my Stash forever.
I'm getting very good at using old stuff!

I stapled on some Bakers Twine.
Sentiment is cut from a Tim Holtz stamp.
A couple of stars and it's done.

Create a Scene with Sweet Stampin'

This week over at Sweet Stampin' we want you to Make a Scene.
That gives you lots of scope.

Don't forget you could win a prize from our fab sponsors

In my wisdom I decided to try some decoupage.
You guys out there that do it all the time with such beautiful results have my awe.
All that fiddly cutting out!

I've used a Make it Crafty  image for the sea floor and dolphin.
(They have lots of different backgrounds available.)
I printed it off a couple of times and coloured it with Promarkers.
Then I cut the layers out and used silicon glue to put them together.

Seashells and starfish from DoCrafts Ahoy There set of stamps.

The Mermaid is LOTV Little Mermaid #1.
Coloured with Promarkers and background coloured with FlexMarkers.

I've used Glossy Accents on the bubbles and a Stardust pen to add interest to the background.
I cut the frame out using my paper trimmer and I'm pleased how well that worked.

The dolphin and shells over the frame finish it off nicely.
