A Jubilant Weekend

Did everyone have a good holiday weekend?

We headed down to York to visit with my Dad and his Partner Edith.
Had a lovely time.
We went to Castle Howard where Brideshead Revisited was filmed. Beautiful House and Gardens.

The Sunday was our wedding anniversary. 12 years!
So we went for a wander in York, Dinner and a Movie while Dad had the kids for a Day.

On the Monday we all went to the village of Church Fenton for a Jubilee Fete which the kids really enjoyed. The Snowy Owl was one of the 5 that played Hedwig in the Harry Potter movies and the Tawny owl enjoyed Sam's stroking it so much it fell asleep!
There were pony rides and bouncy castles and Bar-B-Q so all good.

Back to school tomorrow so I can get some Crafting Time in.
 Call back tomorrow to see if I managed owt.

Blurgh!!

Not been feeling too great the last couple of days. Children and their germs!!!

We're heading down to York tomorrow to visit with my Dad and his partner for the holiday weekend so no time to make anything other than a card for my friends boy which I can't post yet cos she's a follower.
Here is one I made earlier tho

Not my best colouring, I'm finding that when I look back at older cards in my Box I'm often horrified at the colouring so I'm replacing a few images. She's not bad enough to merit that tho.

What a weekend (long)

End of the week was spent helping Emma with a school project.

A recycled woodland scene. thanks Pinterest for the paper bag tree idea.


On Saturday Sam had a Trip to Kelburn Country Park with the Anchor Boys.

Pete, Emma and I went to a Family fun day run by the Wednesday Club, a youth group Emma goes to.
It was on a camp ground they have out the back of beyond where they go for camp.

Lots of fun had, playing games and messing in the Burn, eating burgers etc
I made sure there are no photos of me, tho I have a cracker of Yvonne in full flight!!!

Back home and time to watch the Grand Prix Qualifying, tho I didn't make it as far as Q3. Yawn!

Sunday had a Riding Lesson for Emma and then thru to Cumbernauld for their Rugby clubs festival.
I'm sure other clubs played wringers against Cartha's Micro's as they all towered over our lot.

And I won a bottle of Vodka at the tombola!!

After that a visit to the lovely in-laws who live locally.
Finally home for the whole Sunday night routine and then the Monaco Grand Prix.

Phew!!

I have several cards underway but nothing completed so you'll have to wait for a crafty post.

Never Happy

It's tooo warm today. I'm Scottish - 15 degrees is hot!!!

Normally evenings, and hence after school, are busy but the kids organisations are coming to an end for the Summer. Makes life calmer.
Emma finished Brownies last night and will move up to Guides in September. Can't believe she'll be 10 soon. Sniff!
